JerkyBarn

Smoked and dried beef, venison, and turkey cut thick and seasoned by hand. Sweet peppered strips, hot sticks, and old-fashioned salt-cured pieces all come from small smokehouses. Good road food with real chew.

Before the deep freeze, you dried what you killed. Thin strips over a low fire, hung in the smokehouse, and it kept you through the winter. These makers still cut it by hand and let the smoke do the work.
